This week for Motivation Monday I talk about Feng Shui. In this video I show how I
Feng Shui’d my bedroom. I talk about Feng Shui Tips and tips for the bedroom.
I also talk about what I think about it all.
I don’t necessarily believe in the ‘religion’ of Feng Shui, but I do believe that everything gives off something and that we can learn a lot from other cultures and greatly improve and enrich our lives.
I’m Christian and so the ancient Chinese art of placement doesn’t exactly fit in with Christian Principals but they aren’t completely excluded either.
In 1 Corinthians 14:4- God says “Let all things be done decently and in order.”
Much of Feng Shui is about order.
Some people can find reasons NOT to look into Feng Shui, but I say that we are here to love each other, and if we aren’t looking for what is WRONG, we take what we like and leave the rest we are living the law of love and nothing can be wrong with that!
I did a live webinar (the link is right here https://blog.thetidytutor.com/feng-shui-webinar/) and Christine Bove’ from ChristineBove.com was my guest. After I learned things I never knew I didn’t know, I changed my room around and that is the topic of this video.
Apparently if you have your bed up against a wall you are putting out a message to the universe that no one else is welcome in your bed or your space.
Also, there should be 2 night stands, they don’t have to match, but you must create a space for someone else; if you want romance in your life, there needs to be that energy released. Also the way the bed is placed, it is NOT to be up against a window and it needs to be in what they call the “Command Position” (the foot facing the door), so that you will always be aware of anyone coming in.
This makes so much sense to me, and there is no harm in employing it. So that is just what I did!
I will tell you what! My room FEELS more peaceful, my furniture feels better and fits better than it did before. I also want to be in it more than I did before.
Let me know what you think of it. I look forward to hearing from you!
